The Bharatiya Janata Party has won back Uttar Pradesh with a comfortable margin, bagging a second term in the state with a significant increase in numbers. BJP registers an empathic win in the state crossing the mark of 270, according to the latest updates.
Yogi and the party becomes the first ruling party to return to power after 1985. The counting of the votes began at 8 in the morning on 10 March 2022. Along with this the votes for Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand are also being counted.
PM Modi thanks the voters for showing a firm believe in the party and supporting them throughout the tenure.
