NEET UG: Age limit lifted for all candidates NEET is the only exam for admission into MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India. Recently, the upper age limit for the same was removed by the National Medical Commission. Earlier, the age limit was 25 years for the general category whereas 30 for the reserved category. As quoted by Dr Pulkesh Kumar [ Secretary of the Commission] -’ It has been decided in the 4th NMC meeting that there should not be any fixed upper age limit for appearing in the NEET UG examination.

Therefore, the information bulletin may be modified accordingly’. As said Dr. Kumar asked the commission to remove the upper age limit for the entrance examinations in a letter addressed to National Testing Agency [NTA]. Therefore, the decision was in favor of the aspiring doctors helping in strengthening the medical education in the country.
